Junior AI Voice Bot QA Data Analyst

About the role

Our voice bot platform handles 400,000 calls per month across 28 enterprise clients. When a bot fails — mishears a phrase, loses the conversation thread, routes to the wrong intent handler — the failure is logged, but understanding why requires someone to listen to the call, read the transcript, and classify the error type. That process is currently manual and only covers 1% of failures. As a junior QA data analyst, you'll build the tooling that scales our failure analysis from 1% to 20% coverage. That means building the annotation workflow that makes it fast for reviewers to classify error types from transcripts, running statistical analysis on error distributions across bot configurations, and building the dashboards that client success managers use to explain bot performance trends to their enterprise clients. You'll work with our senior QA engineer and the conversational AI researchers who fix the failures you identify. This is a role where your analysis directly informs product priorities — if you find a systematic error pattern, it moves up the engineering queue.

Responsibilities

  • Build annotation workflows for efficient voice bot error classification from transcripts
  • Run statistical analysis on error distributions across bot configurations and clients
  • Build client-facing dashboards showing bot performance metrics and error trends
  • Identify systematic error patterns and generate bug reports for engineering team
  • Maintain the error taxonomy and annotation guidelines as bot capabilities evolve
  • Produce weekly quality reports for the client success team

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in quality assurance, data analysis, or content review
  • Basic Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
  • Attention to detail and comfort with repetitive classification work
  • Good listening skills for audio transcript review
  • Clear written communication for bug reports and analysis documentation
