Strong SQL engineers who also understand modern data stacks (dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery) are consistently in demand.
What SQL jobs are available remotely at AI companies?
Data engineering, analytics engineering, and BI development roles are the most common. Many also require dbt and a cloud data warehouse like Snowflake or BigQuery alongside SQL proficiency.
Is SQL enough, or do I also need Python for remote data roles?
Python significantly broadens your options. Pure SQL roles exist — especially in analytics engineering — but most data engineering positions at AI companies require both SQL and Python.
